Position:
The Institute of Neuroscience (INS) at the National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) in Taiwan invites applications for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank or higher.
Description:
The INS is a premier neuroscience research institute in Taiwan. Over the past 40 years, the institute has created an inter-disciplinary neuroscience research environment and has established a track record of research excellence. In addition, the NYCU campus is host to the biggest neuroscience research community in Taiwan. More information about our institute can be found at http://ins.nycu.edu.tw
The Institute seeks outstanding candidates with research expertise in all disciplines of neuroscience. Successful candidates will be expected to develop energetic, creative, independent research programs.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have a PhD (or equivalent earned doctoral degree) in neuroscience or related fields, and relevant post-doctoral research experience. Candidates should be fluent in English. Applications will be reviewed beginning March. 1st, 2026 (12pm GMT+8). The candidate is expected to start the position on Feb 1st, 2027 in principle.

具博士學位及兩年以上博士後研究經歷，擁有高度熱忱從事生物醫學教育工作並具全英語授課能力者。
二、徵求領域：
生物醫學研究領域；尤以下述領域專長者為佳：
1.發育與疾病/老化/幹細胞與再生醫學: 以各式模式系統探討發育與疾病、癌症、老化、組織器官形成分化與再生的研究專長者。
2.多體學：以基因體學、表觀基因體學、轉錄體學、蛋白體學、代謝體學等多體學研究方向，以數據資料模型分析及實驗模型驗證(both dry labs and wet labs)探討生物醫學問題的研究人才。
3.藥物化學或轉譯醫學領域：以藥物開發、化學生物學、或應用生化技術探討臨床治療之研究專長者。

The Department of Life Sciences and Institute of Genome Sciences (DLSIGS) at NYCU invites applications for 1–2 full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or above. DLSIGS is dedicated to cultivating future leaders in basic and translational biomedical sciences in the post‑genome era. We advance basic and translational research through interdisciplinary collaboration within the College of Life Sciences and across multiple university-level research centers, and provide multidisciplinary education at the Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral levels with a focus on understanding and treating human diseases. Faculty members at NYCU enjoy a supportive environment with strong institutional backing and academic freedom.
1. Qualification:
The applicant must hold a Ph.D. degree and have at least two years of postdoctoral research experience in life science or biomedical science. Candidates should have strong commitment to biomedical education and be able to deliver high‑quality courses in English.
2. Preferred Research Fields:
Applicants with research experience in the following areas are particularly welcome:
1. Development and Disease / Aging / Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine: Research using diverse model systems to investigate development and disease, cancer, aging, and tissue/organ formation, differentiation, and regeneration.
2. Multi‑omics: Genomics, epigenomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, metabolomics or related multi‑omics approaches, integrating data modeling (dry lab) and experimental validation (wet lab) to address biomedical questions.
3. Translational Medicine / Medicinal Chemistry: Expertise in drug development, chemical biology, or applied biochemical/biomedical technologies aimed at advancing clinical therapies.
